About Anno
Anno is a goal planner for iPhone and iPad. It is designed to be calm, private, and self-contained. The app stores your goals and tasks on your device and, if you choose, syncs them through your personal iCloud account. There is no Anno account, no sign-up, and no server that holds your data.
Information we collect
When you set Anno up, the app asks for a name so it can address you inside the app. That name is stored on your device, and if you have iCloud sync turned on, it lives in your private iCloud container alongside the rest of your content. We never see it.
Beyond that, Anno does not ask you for:
- An email address or phone number.
- A login, password, or account of any kind.
- Location data, contacts, photos, or microphone access.
- Analytics events, usage telemetry, or device identifiers used for tracking.
The goals, tasks, and notes you create in Anno are stored the same way: locally on your device, and in your private iCloud container if sync is on. We do not see them, and we have no way to access them.
iCloud sync
If you are signed into iCloud on your device, Anno can sync your data across the devices on your Apple ID using Apple's CloudKit service. Your content is stored inside your own private iCloud container.
That container is operated by Apple, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is not visible to us. We have no server, no admin console, and no mechanism for retrieving the contents of your iCloud container. If you disable iCloud for Anno, your data stays on the device.
Third parties
Anno uses one third-party service: RevenueCat, which processes In-App Purchases for the Premium subscription. When you start a subscription, the App Store shares a purchase receipt with RevenueCat so RevenueCat can verify it and remember that this device is entitled to Anno Premium. RevenueCat generates an anonymous identifier for the device and stores the subscription record under it.
We do not send your name, your goals, your tasks, or any of your in-app content to RevenueCat. The integration sees only the purchase receipt and the anonymous device identifier. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described in their privacy policy.
Anno does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting software. There are no SDKs from Facebook, Google, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, Adjust, or Branch in the version of the app you install from the App Store.
If a future version of Anno introduces another third party for any reason, we will update this page before that version ships and call out the change in the App Store release notes.
App Store and device data
Apple provides Anno's developer with aggregated, anonymous information about App Store activity, such as download counts and crash statistics from devices that opt in to sharing diagnostics with developers. This information is handled by Apple under their terms and does not identify you to us. You can review and adjust what you share with developers under Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements on your device.
Your rights
Since your content lives only on your devices and in your personal iCloud, you control it directly. To delete your data, delete the app or remove individual items inside it. To stop syncing, disable iCloud for Anno in your device settings.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be summarized in the App Store release notes for the version that introduces them.
